Personal Health Record (PHR) Background
During the State of the Union Address in 2005 President Bush called for all Americans to have an electronic personal
health record within 10 years. Since then, more and more providers have become aware of and started offering
Personal Health Records to their patients. Some questions that come up are how do I provide a PHR to my patients and which
PHR is right for me. These can be difficult questions to answer. There are tens of PHR products on the market and currently no PHR standards.
